Based on the slogan "Chinese Parks, Our Ideal Home," Beijing plans to build China's first national museum centered on the theme of parks and gardens.
A series of design and construction work on main building as well as the indoor and outdoor displays and the digital park will be underway during the preparation period. Moreover, historical parks such as the majestic royal parks in the north of China and the delicate private gardens in the south. will also be absorbed by the museum to showcase the charm of oriental culture.
The museum launched the preparation stage this July and is due to enter full-scale construction one year later.
According to the schedule, the main building body, outdoor display and exhibits arrangement will be finished around January 2013 and it will officially open to tourists in April of that year.
