Rescue Yourself From Boring Meetings with FakeCall

“If only my phone would ring, I could get out of here!” How many times have you fidgeted your way through an endless meeting, cocktail party, or product demo thinking exactly that? If you’re a Palm Treo user,FakeCall will do the trick. Just add a “fakecall” appointment to your calendar and the software will make your phone ring (using any ringtone you choose) at the designated time. It’ll even display any phone number and “caller ID” you specify and play a voice file to add to the realism. Need to make a sudden break? Just slide the Treo’s ringer switch and you’ll get the same result (after a predetermined delay).
Maybe this sounds dishonest, but, hey, sometimes you just gotta escape. This is actually a polite, believable way to excuse yourself. Wish I’d had this little gem when I worked for Major Corporation Co., where mind-numbing meetings were a part of daily life. Fake Call costs $6.95 and works with all Palm OS Treo models.
