Senior CPC official put forward proposal to strengthen co-op with Italy

China and Italy have great potential to further cooperation between their small- and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs), said a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
In a speech at a trade forum on Monday, He Guoqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, advanced a four-point proposal to enhance cooperation between SMEs of the two countries:
-- to offer more opportunities and support for cooperation on scientific research, information network, cultural renovation, marketing and industrial design.
-- to explore new cooperation areas such as renewable resources, energy conservation and logistics.
-- to lift the cooperation level from the pure trade contact to mutual investment and joint exploration.
-- to create better conditions for enterprises cooperation. The departments in charge of trade should take advantage of the sub-committee to remove investment and trade obstacles and establish a fair and open environment.
